Flooding: Storm Bert & Storm Darragh
The Welsh Government have announced that homes in Wales hit by the recent flooding will receive between £500 and £1000 in support following "devastating" scenes of damage across the country.
- £1,000 per household who are not insured
- £500 per household who are insured
Eligibility: whatever delivery mechanism is determined, we recommend financial support for householders is limited to:
Residential properties subject to flooding, by storm water during Storm Bert and Storm Darragh, to the internal living space of the property (ie excluding gardens garages outbuildings porches etc);
Residential properties which were impacted by and evacuated due to land-slip (e.g. Cwmtillery) or sink holes (e.g. Merthyr Tydfil)
People who are ordinarily resident - it is not available for landlords; and empty properties (including second homes)
We will need to confirm that the householder does meet the criteria and customers are asked to report their flooding with our Emergency Planning team who will validate this. To report the flood please complete the online form below.
As part of the grant application process Householders will be asked to confirm insurance details and will need to provide bank account details in order to receive the grant.
