Census 2021 support is available
15 March 2021
A helpline is available to assist households across the county to complete their census forms, Powys County Council has said.
In preparation for Census 2021 on Sunday 21 March, Powys Library Service has set up a telephone helpline to support completion of the census questionnaires.
It will be offering information and advice, as well as help to order a paper copy of the form for households that require one, and, in some circumstances, staff may be able to complete the census for you, If you are unable to do it yourself.
Where it is appropriate to complete the census over the phone, the service will take approximately 40 minutes to do this, plus 20 minutes for each additional person. Bookable appointments will be offered if help is not immediately available.
The helpline is available Monday to Friday, between the times of 9am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm and can be contacted on: 01874 612394.
Cllr Rachel Powell, Cabinet Member for Young People, Leisure and Culture, said: "The census is such an important source of information for the county.
"With the census being online and digital this year, we recognise that not everyone has access to a suitable device, so this service gives residents the resources to allow them equal opportunity to complete the questionnaire."
