Children's Half Term Holiday Activity Sessions

Activity sessions for children in Powys will be held during the February Half Term holidays, the county council has said.

Thanks to Welsh Government funding Powys County Council, in partnership with Freedom Leisure have arranged free activity sessions for children and young people aged four - 17 in eight leisure centres across the county.

The sessions will run between Monday 21 February and Friday 25 February 2022 at the following venues and times:

  • Brecon Leisure Centre: Monday - Friday (10am-12pm and 1:30pm - 3:30pm)
  • Bro Ddyfi Leisure Centre: Monday, Wednesday and Friday (10:30am-12:30pm and 1:30pm - 3:30pm)
  • Builth Wells Leisure Centre: Monday - Friday (1:30pm - 3:30pm)
  • Rhayader Leisure Centre: Monday - Friday (10:30am-12:30pm)
  • The Flash, Welshpool: Monday - Friday (10am-12pm and 1pm - 3pm)
  • Llandrindod Wells Leisure Centre: Monday - Friday (10am-12pm)
  • Ystradgynlais Leisure Centre: Monday - Friday (10am-12pm)
  • Llanidloes Leisure Centre: Monday - Thursday (10:30am - 12:30pm)

Cllr Rachel Powell, Cabinet Member for Children's Services, said: "Thanks to funding from the Welsh Government, and our partnership with Freedom Leisure, we are delighted that we are able to provide activities for children in venues across the county this half term.

"Following the success of our previous holiday sessions, I'm sure this will really prove popular and children and young people across the county will enjoy."

Places are limited and will be prioritised and allocated within Welsh Government guidance. Registration will close on Friday 11 February 2022
