Reserve, request or suggest a library book
You can keep your account up-to-date and avoid fines by renewing your library books before they are due back - you can do this by taking them to the library, by telephone or online. If necessary, you may do this up to 6 times before returning your books, as long as nobody else has requested them.
Reserve a library book - find out how to reserve an item on the library catalogue (free service)
Suggest a book not in stock here - you can suggest books even if you can't find them on the catalogue (free service)
Request book not in stock here - you can request books, journal articles, music scores and play sets (chargeable service)
How long will it take for my book to arrive?
This depends on its availability. We may have to order it from the publisher, and/or there may be a long waiting list. Library staff will be happy to check this for you. If the item is required urgently, or by a particular date, please ask library staff for advice.
How much will it cost me?
All reservations for items in stock or on order are free of charge (although will apply to Talking Books and DVDs).
You will be charged for requesting a book that is currently not in stock or on order.
