Scan | Recycle | Reward - How to claim rewards

We want to make it as convenient as possible for you to claim rewards. Once you've signed up you can start recycling either at home or 'on the go'!

You can claim 10p for every relevant container correctly recycled. When your balance reaches £5.00* you will be notified by the App so you can redeem your reward. Simply follow the instructions provided.

Recycling at home (smartphone required)

Apply the labels included in the information pack you get through the post to the outside of your recycling bins. Keep the indoor sticker somewhere handy.
Using your smartphone, scan any one of your recycling labels provided. Follow the instructions on your phone to sign up for a Scan Recycle Reward account.
Once you've set up an account, scan any one of your recycling labels using your smartphone.
Scan the QR code (10p sticker) on the drink container and then recycle as normal.
Repeat step 4 for every empty drink container you wish to recycle. You can claim 10p for every container recycled.
Put your recycling boxes out for collection as normal. We will credit your account with a 10p reward for every item correctly recycled.

Recycling 'On the Go' - Community bins (Smartphone required)

You can use community bins located at:

ALDI car park, The Watton, Rich Way
Bethel Square (outside Greggs)

Scan the QR code on the bin to open the app on your phone.
Then press the bin icon on the screen.
Follow the instructions on your phone to deposit your drink container(s) and claim rewards.

Containers must be empty (no liquid).

Glass is NOT accepted in the community bins. Glass containers can only be recycled at home.

Recycling 'On the Go' - Automated machines (No smartphone required)

Automated machines are located at:

Brecon Leisure Centre
Morrisons

Scan the QR code on your container(s) using the machine and follow the on-screen instructions. You will have the option to credit your account (you will need a smartphone for this) or take a cash voucher which, if you choose, can be donated to charity (no smartphone required for this option).

Vouchers from the automated machine in the leisure centre can be redeemed in the leisure centre café.

Vouchers from the automated machine in Morrisons can be redeemed at Holland and Barrett.

Containers must be empty (no liquids).

Glass is NOT accepted in the automated machines. Relevant glass containers can only be recycled at home.

Recycling 'On the Go' - Over the counter returns (No smartphone required)

You can return your drink container(s) to:

Holland and Barrett, Bethel Square
Premier (Brecon Convenience), High Street
SPAR, Bryn De Winton

Hand your drink container(s) over the counter to the store staff and they will do all the work! You will receive cash which you can donate to charity if you wish.
