The Powys winners

The very first Service Children Awards Cymru 2023 took place at Brecon's Infantry Battle School on Saturday, October 28.

Cllr Matthew Dorrance, Powys County Council's Deputy Leader and Armed Forces Champion, said: "It was brilliant to see so many service children and their families having a wonderful time at the awards ceremony and being recognised for the work they do to highlight both the benefits and the challenges they face because of their armed forces connections.

"I'm so glad we were able to sponsor this year's Service Children Awards Cymru and that the Army in Wales was able to host them in Powys. I look forward to seeing them go from strength to strength in the future!"
