Hearing aid clinics

The NHS provides free hearing aids to patients with impaired hearing. Your GP can refer you to the nearest clinic for a hearing test. Many clinics offer repairs and batteries.

Breconshire

Brecon War Memorial Hospital

Ystradgynlais Community Hospital

(Tel: 01639 844777) Repairs on 4th Tuesday of the month 1.30 p.m.- 3.30 p.m. Batteries: 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month,10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Telephone to confirm clinic is running.

Singleton Hospital

(Tel: 01792 205666) offers a service to Powys patients.

Repairs Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 noon and 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. No appointment necessary.

Nevill Hall Hospital

(Tel: 01873 732800) Offers a service to Powys patients.

Repairs Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 noon. No appointment necessary.

Radnorshire

Llandrindod Wells Hospital

Hereford General Hospital

(Tel: 01432 372939) All clinics, including repair clinics are by appointment only.

Montgomeryshire

Welshpool Hospital, Newtown Hospital and Llanidloes Hospital.

These clinics are by appointment only. Contact Wrexham Maelor Hospital(01978) 291100 ext 5304. Batteries are available during office hours at the above hospitals and also from Machynlleth Hospital and Newtown Surgery.

Bronglais Hospital

(Tel: 01970 623131/635447) Repairs on Wednesdays 9 a.m. - 12 noon (occasionally, additional times are available). No appointment necessary.

NB: Most clinics operate a postal service for repairs and batteries.
