Youth Intervention Team
Early intervention, help and support for young people and their families
What we do
Powys Youth Service's Intervention Team offers voluntary engagement in short to medium term help and support. We work one to one or with groups in schools, at home, youth centres or somewhere else like a library where the young person feels comfortable.
Our work is split into 3 main areas:
- With 11-25 year olds and their families, mainly through referrals to the Team Around the Family (TAF) Panels. These are regular meetings that co-ordinate a range of support services
- With young people aged 8-17 years to raise awareness and help prevent anti-social behaviour and offending
- Offering parental support and advice through the Take3 course. Take3 courses are run throughout the year, and you can register your interest on: 01686 614 078 or email: email@example.com.
We can help with:
Anxiety, Bullying, Confidence, Self-esteem, Relationships, Assertiveness, Social exclusion, School Attendance, Anger Management, Emotional Wellbeing, Loss and Bereavement, Parent support and advice
The Youth Intervention Service also work with Careers Wales on delivering the ESF (European Social Funded) project Cynnydd.
