Just a few days remain for people to send in their stories about influential and inspirational women in Powys.
National Democracy Week will kick off on Monday 2 July 2018 with the theme Suffrage Centenary to mark 100 years since women won the right to vote and the 90th anniversary of the 1928 Equal Franchise Act which gave women the same voting rights as men.
To celebrate, Powys County Council wants to hear your stories about influential and inspirational women in Powys. We aim to feature a selection of your stories on our social media platforms and other forms of publicity during Democracy Week in July.
The influential women could come from any walk of life, past or present. For example, it could be a women from the suffragette movement or someone today who is a community leader, politician, volunteer, charity spokeswomen or local celebrity.
