Resurfacing works to be carried out near Felindre
|24th July 2018|
A mid Powys road will be closed during the day for five days next month so that resurfacing works can be carried out, motorists are being warned.
Powys County Council has issued the warning ahead of the daytime closure of the B4355 near Felindre.
The resurfacing works will last five days and will start at 9am on Monday, August 6. The road will re-open each night at 7pm and the works are due for completion by 7pm on Friday, August 10.
The works will take place west of Felindre between Cwm Gwyn Hall and Bwlch Y Llyn.
Cllr Phyl Davies, Cabinet Member for Highways, said: "We will have to close the road for resurfacing works during the day because of the restricted width of the carriageway.
"The closure is necessary so that our contractors and their staff can carry out the work safely.
"A signed diversion will be in place but our contractors will maintain access to properties within the length of the road closure. The road will re-open each night.
"We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but I'm sure drivers will appreciate the new surface when the works are completed."
