26th September 2018

Image of a bound documentThere's a helping hand for local businesses in Powys this autumn. Powys Better Business Networking events are once again taking place right across the county.

Organised by Powys County Council's Regeneration Service the events are free for Powys based businesses. It's a great way to make new links, develop trade, find free support and advice, and hear about hot topics going on in the County.

Guests will hear more about the Mid Wales Growth Deal and the recently approved Targeted Regeneration Investment Programme for Mid Wales and how it will benefit Powys. They will also hear how the Council's housing programmes are helping local business. Guest speakers include the Development Bank of Wales, Heart of Wales Business Services, and Food Centre Wales.

A range of support services will also be on hand to give free help and advice to business including Business Wales, Superfast Business Wales, Cambrian Training, NPTC Group of Colleges, Mid Wales Manufacturing Group, and Federation of Small business.

The Leader of the Council, Cllr Rosemarie Harris, who will be attending the events said;

"Growing the economy is a key part of the Council's Vision 2025 improvement plan. Our local businesses are key partners for securing the future economic prosperity of Powys. The Powys Better Business Networking events provide an important platform for sharing opportunities and discussing ideas that can help shape the future of our local economy."
