Powys County Council's Affordable Housing Team has arranged the event that will take place in Glasbury's River Café on Thursday, March 28 from 10am-3pm.

The event has been arranged so that housing development officers can get the views of residents on affordable housing and also establish the housing needs for the area.

Residents are being invited to drop in for a chat with team members, who are interested to hear what housing is needed in Glasbury and the surrounding areas such as Hay-on-Wye, Llyswen and Boughrood.

All aspects of affordable housing can be discussed at the event.

Cllr James Evans, Cabinet Member for Housing, said: "We want to produce good quality, sustainable and affordable homes that meet the needs of local communities across Powys and we have made a commitment to developing 250 additional homes over the next five years

"Our Affordable Housing Team will be working in communities throughout Powys to identify suitable land for housing and establishing housing needs.

"We want to gather as much information as possible and this drop-in event will allow residents to make their views known.

"We would encourage all members of the community to come along to this event but especially younger people, as we recognise that they have difficulty finding suitable affordable accommodation.

"This drop-in event is important as it will allow ask to gather the views from residents while we find out what the housing needs are for this area."
