Expressions of interest sought
27 March 2019
Businesses interested in Brecon's historic Market Hall are being invited to get in-touch with Powys County Council to discuss its future.
The county council's Strategic Asset Board has been considering how best to manage the building realising its full economic potential for the benefit of market traders, residents and the wider community.
Cabinet Member for Highways, Recycling and Assets, Councillor Phyl Davies said: "The Market Hall is an important building in the centre of Brecon and its future use is of great importance to market traders and residents. In the current financial climate, it is difficult for the county council to invest in its future and we are seeking expressions of interest from someone to take on that role.
"The market Hall is an important asset and we are looking for a suitable partner with a proven track record and appropriate resources to take the building. In future the building could be leased or transferred to a new operator and have an exciting retail future.
"We will be advertising for interested parties to get in touch shortly and from then discussing a way forward for the building. We will be keeping in touch with existing market traders throughout the process," he added.
All interest and enquires should be sent to email@example.com
The deadline for expressions of interest is April 30.
