Image of foster parent and childrenPowys County Council supports a nationwide campaign that encourages people to consider fostering.

Foster Care Fortnight runs from Monday 13 to 26 May to raise the profile of fostering and the transformational power of foster care - the power to #changeafuture.

Powys County Council's Fostering Service is passionate about the difference that foster care makes to the lives of fostered children and young people. If you think you have the relevant skills and experience, we're calling on you to consider becoming foster carers so that you can also #changeafuture.

To find out more about fostering in Powys the team will be out and about throughout the fortnight. Come and meet us and have a chat about fostering in Powys at:

  • Morrisons, Newtown: Tuesday, May 14
  • Tesco Welshpool on Wednesday, May 15
  • Co-op, Brecon: Tuesday, May 21
  • Tesco, Ystradgynlais: Thursday, May 23
  • Tesco, Llandrindod Wells: Friday, May 24

You can find us at the Royal Welsh Smallholding and Countryside Festival over the weekend of 18 and 19 May, on stand 163 in the Spring Festival Hall.

We'll also be at the Family Activity Day at Craig y Nos Country Park on Wednesday, 29 May organised by the Brecon Beacons National Park.
