Image of foster children Drop-in sessions are being held across Powys to find new foster carers and adopters.  

A string of informal sessions will take place over the next month as part of Powys County Council's drive to recruit new carers and adopters.

If you could provide a caring and safe environment within your home for local children, teenagers and siblings, then pop and see the team at one of our drop in sessions at:  

  • Hafrenydd Community Room, Llanidloes: 15 October, 10am - 1pm
  • Builth Wells Community Fair, Wyeside in Builth Wells: 18 October, 11am - 2pm
  • Town Hall, Talgarth: 24 October, 2pm - 4pm
  • Housing office, St Edwards Close, Knighton: 7 November, 1pm - 4pm
  • The Old Shop, Bryny Gog, Machynlleth: 26 November, 10am - 1pm   

Cllr Rachel Powell, Powys County Council's Cabinet Member for Children's Services, adds: "If you are passionate about supporting the needs of children and young people, and want to be a part of their life long journey, then please come along to have a chat with our professional and friendly team. You could be the person to make a difference to the lives of local children and young people in Powys."
