Top education post advertised by council

Powys County Council's top education position has now been advertised.
The council has advertised the post of Chief Education Officer & Director of Education.
As Chief Education Officer, the successful candidate will be accountable for delivering across the following area:
- School Improvement and Effectiveness
- Supporting schools in Financial Management
- School Access and Organisation
- Skills and Progression, including Adult and Community Learning
- Inclusion and Additional Learning Needs
- Education other than at school, including Pupil Referral Units
- Youth Services
The successful candidate will lead on the development of Welsh medium educational strategies and operational arrangements to secure high-quality provision and outcomes for learners, in line with the delivery of the council's aims and objectives.
The closing date for applications is Sunday, November 3.
