Powys Teaching Health Board (PTHB) is responsible for meeting the health and wellbeing needs of the people of Powys.  

As a rural health board, PTHB provides as many services as possible locally, through GPs and other primary care services, community hospitals and community services.   Working closely with other Health Boards, NHS Trust and other organisations in Wales and England, the health board commissions a range of services on behalf of its residents. 

Public Health Wales is one of the 11 organisations which makes up NHS Wales. It is the national public health agency in Wales. It works to protect and improve health and well-being for the people of Wales.
