Powys County Council has organised four drop-in surgeries over the coming months for parents / carers to meet with staff members to discuss any issues or concerns they have.

The date and venue for the surgeries, which run from 9:30am-12:30pm, are:

  • Friday, March 6 - Llandrindod Wells Youth Centre
  • Tuesday, May 12 - Newtown Football Club
  • Wednesday, June 17 - Ysgol Trefonnen Church in Wales Community Primary, Llandrindod Wells
  • Thursday, July 9 - Ysgol Golwg Y Cwm, Ystradgynlais

Cllr Phyl Davies, Cabinet Member for Education, said: "These surgeries are a way for parents and families to meet with a member of our SEN / ALN Team each term. We hope they will provide a network for parents, facilitating peer-to-peer support and provide assistance for parents through advice, support and coaching where appropriate.

"The surgeries will also allow for common themes arising from schools and families to be triangulated in order to support ongoing early help.
