From Friday 31st July y Gaer will be opening the museum to visitors on Fridays and Saturdays only.

Opening Times: 10am to 1pm & 1:30pm to 4pm.

If you haven't received a Bookstart pack from your health visitor because of lockdown, you can collect one from your local library.

Please phone the library request line on 01597 827460 to order a pack and arrange collection.

 

31st March 2020

While libraries are closed, you can now search Ancestry from home, available in the first instance till April 30th.

To access Ancestry, go to the library catalogue and login with your library card number and PIN. After logging in, you'll be able to access the link to Ancestry.

You'll need to be a member of the library to use Ancestry from home. If you are not already a member, complete the online form to join now. As well as Ancestry, you'll also be able to access our great collection of ebooks, eaudiobooks and emagazines.

In response to the current situation, all our library buildings are closed.

As you are not able to return books, you won't be fined and they will be automatically renewed.

Please keep your books at home. You won't be able to reserve books while we try to reshape our service. Please accept our apologies about this.

Remember that you can eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eComics free. If you are not a member yet, you can join the library here now and start borrowing straight away.

Following the announcement by the Prime Minister it is with a heavy heart that we have to inform our loyal and supportive customers that Museums will now be closed for the foreseeable future.
