Dates revised for Childcare Offer applications
With thanks to the efficiency of the team in Ceredigion we can confirm a revised date for applications for children who were born between the 1st of April 2017 - 31st August 2017.
Children who were born during this time can now apply sooner that previously advised 9th of September instead of the 21st September.
Please note that it may take up to 28 days to process applications once submitted and families will be required to pay childcare fees until their application is approved and families will be liable to pay fees until their applications have been approved.

Childcare Offer for Wales - Reopening
Families who were eligible for the offer prior to the 31st of March, the childcare team are in the process of gathering any information that requires updating from those families. You will not need to complete a new application.
Families who had not applied previously will need to complete a full application.
Parents who would have been eligible for the Offer in the summer term (children who turned 3 between January 1st and March 31st, 2020), will be able to take up the Offer from the start of the autumn term in their local authority, if still eligible - Applications for these children will open Monday August 10th.
For those parents whose child becomes eligible for the Offer in their authority from the autumn term (children who turned 3 between April 1st and August 31st, 2020), they will be able to apply from Monday, 21st September and can take up a funded place once their application has been processed and if they are found to be eligible.
Please allow up to 28 days for your application to be processed.
If a parent uses childcare before their application is approved, the parent is liable for paying the costs of the childcare and no childcare funding can be back-dated to account for the period before an application is approved.
Parents/Carers must have the following information available in the format of a photo or electronically ready to upload as part of their application.
- Child's birth certificate
- Proof of address (Council Tax Bill or Utility bill dated within the last 3 months)
- Payslips - 3 most recent monthly payslips for each parent or if paid weekly each week for the last 3 months.
- If self-employed your most recent Self-Assessment Tax Return.
- If parents are in new employment and do not have a payslip. They must have a copy of their contract or a letter from the employer confirming the income and hours worked.
Anybody having trouble uploading evidence as part of the application should e-mail the evidence to the e-mail address immediately after completing the application. Email: email@example.com

Following the recent announcement by Welsh Government, new applications for funded childcare under the Childcare Offer for Wales scheme are not being accepted due to the ongoing Covid19 situation and will be postponed until further notice.
If you are a Key Worker and you require childcare to carry out your role, funded childcare may be available to you under the Covid Childcare Assistant Scheme (CCAS) in located across Powys.
