Pay Rent or Housing Charges

Pay by Direct Debit

You can pay your rent by monthly Direct Debit on any date of the month.

You can either set up a Direct Debit over the phone, removing the need for paper forms, or you can complete the online form.

Pay Online

You can pay your bill online with a credit or debit card by using our  Online Payments facility.

Your card details will not be stored by the Council and at no time will they be visible, or accessible outside the secure banking network.

24-hour payment line

You can use the 24-hour telephone service to pay your rent by using a debit or credit card via our automated payment line: 03300 889 578

We no longer send out rent statements automatically. To help keep track of your rent account, statements can be sent every 3,6 or 12 monthly either by post or email, to set this up, please contact us on 01597 827464.


 

Did you know you are now able to view your Rent Account via our website?

To link your rent account to your profile you will need to follow the steps below:

  1. Log into your account
  2. Edit your profile by adding your Tenancy Reference and your Date of birth 

You can also ask for a statement at any time by emailing housing@powys.gov.uk or calling 01597 827464.

If your housing account is in credit and money is due back to you, you can request a refund.
