Powys Archives provides free access to our public search room for researchers to use our archives, local studies material and computers. Our collections date from the fourteenth century and can be used for all types of research: · Tracing your family history · Discovering the history of your house · Finding out more about the history of your village or community. School or college projects. The facility is accessible, warm and safe.
Staff are always on hand to offer expert advice and guidance on local history research. Demand for places is always high and it is advisable to reserve a seat in advance of a visit.
Bus routes and times are subject to change – please check with the local public transport provider. Celtic Travel Routes 58 and x47 stop at the nearest bus stop in Brookland Road.
