The Summer Reading Challenge takes place over the summer holidays throughout the UK. For 2022, The Reading Agency is partnering with the Science Museum Group to create 'Gadgeteers', a Challenge that's all about science and innovation!
The aim of the challenge is to get children aged between 4 and 11 years old to read 6 books over the summer holidays, on completion children will receive a medal and certificate, a free family swim voucher and gain entry into a prize draw.
There are two ways to take part in the challenge this year:
Visit your local library, register for the challenge and choose your 6 books from the wide selection available.
We know that reading for pleasure is important for children's development and taking part in the annual Summer Reading Challenge will keep them reading throughout the school summer holidays.
