Schools Service Privacy Notice

Powys County Council processes personal data and special category (sensitive) data in order that it may deliver those tasks required of it in the delivery of public services in relation to schools admissions, pupil education and welfare including Additional Learning Needs, Home to School transport, Youth Services and Governor Support.

The information provided by individuals and from other sources, such as schools and local health boards, will be shared with those professionals who are required to assist with the delivery of these services, such as other council departments or directorates within the Authority, schools, other local authorities, and local health boards, as required. Specific personal information is shared with Welsh Government for the purposes of monitoring and statutory reporting.

The personal information collected will be held by the Council for a period of 25 years from the child's date of birth.
