• Discuss the Chain of Infection and how infection can spread.
• Determine the importance of Standard Precautions including Hand Hygiene.
• Define the terms Infection, Colonisation and Carrier.
• List the precautions taken when dealing with - Laundry /Linen - Sharps Management - Cleaning & Waste.
• Discuss the importance of Personal plans and Risk Assessments.
