Net Zero Skills Programme

The Flexible Skills Programme is a training grant, available to all employers in Wales, that wish to purchase training courses from third party training providers in order for them to meet their business's upskilling objectives. "We want to help businesses grow by providing training support to upskill and reskill their workforce in net zero skills.  This will enable them to reach future markets and respond to a fast changing economy." Funding from the Welsh Government is supported up to the value of 50% of the overall eligible training costs.

Electric vehicle (EV) Grant for Staff and Fleet

This grant is for small and medium sized businesses to fund the cost of wider building and installation work that's needed to install multiple ChargePoint sockets. The work can be for sockets you want to install now or in the future. This grant can cover works such as wiring and posts. The grant covers 75% of the cost of the work, up to a maximum of £15,000.

State of Nature Report - Wales

An updated State of Nature Report for Wales was published in 2023. The report outlines how nature has changed over the last 50 years. The report shows that many species are in decline and 18% of species in Wales are at risk of extinction.

Workplace recycling policy

From 6 April 2024, it will become law for all businesses, charities and public sector organisations to sort their waste for recycling.

It also applies to all waste and recycling collectors and processors who manage household-like waste from workplaces.

The Welsh Government is introducing this law to improve the quality and quantity of how we collect and separate waste.
