Aim

  • A course on disguised compliance which will allow staff to reflect on how this manifests and how practitioners skills can promote responsive engagement to counteract and reduce this.  

Key Learning Outcomes

The Course content:

  • Understand what Uncooperative Behaviour is and its different forms
  • Be aware of the reasons for Uncooperative Behaviour and the impact it can have
  • Explore multi-agency working
  • Know how to respond to Uncooperative Behaviour and question how practice may be exacerbating this 
  • Know how to deal with violence and hostility
  • Know how to keep yourself safe
  • Encouraging Equity between Parents and Professionals
  • Understand what Disguised Compliance is and when it occurs 
  • Be aware of how you can identify and counteract disguised compliance
  • Recognise the link with safeguarding and disguised compliance - findings from thematic reviews / CPR's.

There is no charge to attend these courses, however a cancellation charge may apply to non-attendance if sufficient notice is not given
