Assessment Skills (Adults)

Target Audience: Social Work Teams and Care Providers
Aims:
- This training course supports those who complete assessments in social care. It considers the key tenants of undertaking assessments including planning and analysis to ensure best practice is applied by practitioners.
Objectives:
This course will explore:
- Understanding key principles, legislation and national/local policy context underpinning assessments.
- Ensure assessments adhere to Strengths based approaches to practice.
- Understanding the importance of critical thinking, reflective practise and analysis.
- Including the voice of the adult in assessments - inclusion and participation of Carers/Family.
- Applying social work knowledge through research / Practise Review findings and practice experience to assessments.

There is no charge to attend these courses, however a cancellation charge may apply to non-attendance if sufficient notice is not given
