Powys residents are being reminded that the council is open for business and there is a variety of ways people can get in touch.

That's the message from Powys County Council Chief Executive Emma Palmer, who is keen to reassure residents that the organisation she leads is open for business after several changes to the way it operates.

"It has never been easier to get in touch with us about our services with many thousands of people now choosing to contact us through their online My Powys accounts at any time of the day or night," she added.

"But we know that doesn't work for everyone so, we are continuing to take your phone calls and welcome you in person at our libraries and at council offices including County Hall with an appointment."

Contacting the council online

  • Register for a My Powys Account and use it to contact us whenever you want: https://en.powys.gov.uk/login
  • Chat with us online or find the email address for the service you want to contact: Contact Us

Contacting the council over the phone

  • Phone 01597 826000 (if you know the name of the person or department)
  • Phone 01597 827460 (for general enquiries)

Contacting the council in person

Visit one of our libraries - use the link to search your nearest facility - https://www.storipowys.org.uk/find-a-library - where we can assist with some transactions (Monday to Friday). Staff can help signpost residents to council services they want and put them in contact with the staff who will be able to help you further.
