Free digital marketing sessions organised for arts and culture sectors
11 November 2024
The free sessions, which will take in November and December, have been arranged ahead of the forthcoming launch of a new What's On platform on the council's StoriPowys website - a website dedicated to Powys' arts, culture and creative sectors.
The workshops, which are aimed at creative individuals and organisations, will focus on content strategy, writing for the web, search engine optimisation, social media and more. It will also be an opportunity to find out more about the new What's On platform that is being introduced by the council's Cultural Services.
Cllr Richard Church, Cabinet Member for a Safer Powys, said: "The launch of this new digital platform and training programs by Powys County Council marks a significant advancement for arts, culture, libraries, museums, and heritage in Powys.
"Free digital marketing training will empower everyone working in arts and culture in Powys to effectively promote their events, while the What's On calendar will help arts organisations to promote and showcase their events and connect with the local community."
