Target Audience: Adults and Children's Services Sector Staff / Social Work Teams / Providers / Unpaid Carers

Delivered: Virtual via TEAMS

Aim:

This course aims to improve the methods used by all care staff and services to support people at risk of suicide.

Learning Outcomes:

You will be confident to discuss suicide with someone at risk.
Identify risk alerts and develop safety plans to protect and support. Teach and support the interpersonal skills required to intervene with a person at risk of suicide.  Know and refer too other support services available to a person at risk. Recognise the importance of suicide prevention, supporting life and self-care.  Understand the societal after effects for someone who attempted or is at risk of suicide.

  • 15 May 2025, 9.30am - 4.30pm
  • 18 September 2025, 9.30am - 4.30pm

There is no charge to attend these courses, however a cancellation charge may apply to non-attendance if sufficient notice is not given
