Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Event

17 February 2025

Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Event
A free session to raise awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation will be hosted by Powys County Council, in conjunction with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation.

The session aims to give parents & community members the chance to learn more about child sexual exploitation, show how it can happen, what the risks are, and what support is available.

The session will take place online on two occasions, with both having the same content:

  • Wednesday 5 March, 5:30pm - 6:30pm
  • Wednesday 19 March, 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Cllr Sandra Davies, Cabinet Member for Future Generations, said: "Child Sexual Exploitation is a form of child abuse. It can have devastating and long-lasting effects on children and their families. This session aims to raise awareness of this form of abuse, within our communities.

"We want to support our residents in seeking help and taking action."

If you wish to attend, you will need to register before the session to receive the link. To register, please email practice.development@powys.gov.uk.
