What the Fund has achieved in Powys

A tree with coins - money tree

Since its launch in December 2022, the Shared Prosperity Fund has made a measurable difference in Powys. Through carefully selected projects and initiatives, the programme is forecast to:

  • 128 projects approved and delivered across Powys.
  • Deliver over £3 million in funding for direct business support.
  • Support the creation of over 300 new jobs and over 200 jobs safeguarded in the county.
  • Fund over 37 projects, improve local services, community spaces and infrastructure, and build resilient, safe and healthy neighbourhoods for residents.
  • Facilitate the development of new skills and upskill the workforce, benefiting hundreds of individuals.

These outcomes are just the beginning, and the legacy of the Shared Prosperity Fund will continue to drive growth and innovation in Powys for years to come.
