How best to protect against money laundering.

It's an offence to trade as an estate agent unless you're registered with HMRC for money laundering supervision. HMRC has published guidance for estate agents on how best to protect against money laundering.

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) supervise estate agency businesses under the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017. 

These regulations make sure that businesses at risk of being used for money laundering by criminals and terrorists have controls to minimise the risk of this happening.
