What is Spiking?

Spiked

Spiking is when someone deliberately exposes you to drugs or alcohol without your knowledge or consent.

Spiking can happen through:

  • Drinks (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
  • Injections (with a needle)
  • Vaping (devices that have been tampered with or shared)

Spotting the Signs of Spiking

  • Feeling drowsy, dizzy, or drunker than expected
  • Confusion or memory loss
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Difficulty speaking or standing
  • Loss of consciousness
