Connect to Work (CtW)

Connect to Work is a free employment support programme for people in Powys and Ceredigion who face barriers to finding or staying in work. The programme is funded by the UK Government and delivered by Powys County Council in partnership with Ceredigion County Council.

Who the programme is for:

Connect to Work can support:

  • Disabled people
  • People with long-term health conditions
  • People with mental health needs
  • Neurodivergent people
  • Those in recovery or at risk of losing their job
  • Young people aged 16-24, including those with SEND
  • Individuals facing social, financial or rural barriers

What support is available

We offer:

  • One-to-one support with an employment adviser
  • Help to find suitable work, training or volunteering
  • Links with local employers and services
  • Support before starting work and ongoing help once in a job
  • Fully bilingual and accessible information

How to access the service

You can join Connect to Work by:

  • Completing a self-referral form online
  • Being referred by a professional (GP, health worker, DWP, school, college or voluntary organisation)
  • Attending one of our community drop-ins or pop-up events
  • Support for employers

We work with businesses of all sizes to promote inclusive recruitment.

Employers can access:

  • Advice on inclusive recruitment
  • Good practice guidance
  • Support to connect with potential candidates
