Chweched Powys Sixth - September 2026 Applications

The way in which sixth form provision is delivered and organised in Powys is changing in September 2026. Schools are working together on a regional basis to improve learner choice and experience.

Please look carefully at the Powys Sixth Prospectus to support you whilst completing this application. You will need to work closely with your Head of Year/Progress Leader and parents/carers to ensure that you pick options that are available to you in your region.

The curriculum offer has been constructed by school leaders and informed by learner surveys with the aim of meeting demand and widening choice. Our intention is for the offer to remain the same throughout the application process, however it is subject to change based on learner demand and staffing availability. We will endeavour to keep changes to a minimum.

The curriculum offer will vary depending on the home school, as each region has tailored their approach to best meet the needs of learners. Therefore, it is essential that applicants use the links below to look closely at their school offer and work with school-based staff (head of year/progress leader/senior leaders) to understand what subjects are available before applying. All courses are accurate at the time of upload. Please note that courses attracting small numbers of learners are not guaranteed to run.
