Child Sexual Abuse Training

Course Aims:
This course aims to support practitioners in understanding child sexual abuse including indicators and impact. It will ensure staff are managing disclosures effectively and providing trauma informed / non blaming support in recovery.

Course Outcomes:

• Give an understanding of what CSA is and how it can happen
• Indicators of CSA and assessing risk / safety planning
• Understanding sexual development
• Managing disclosures and barriers to disclosure
• Impact of CSA: Supporting recovery for the child / non abusing parent
• Anti discriminatory practice - ensuring a non blaming approach / trauma informed practice.
