This training is set to be provided by either Dr Holly Gordon (Powys County Council) or Claire Naylor (Powys Teaching Health Board) as an introduction to the purpose and principles of "Professional Curiosity" and how this can underpin best practice when working with individuals and families.
Learning Objectives:
- Understanding of how "Professional Curiosity" can support practitioners to develop the communication and observational skills required to work effectively with individuals and families.
- Develop an understanding of the meaning of conformational bias, questioning assumptions, and "disguised compliance" in relation to Professional Curiosity.
- Consider how to support practitioners in a variety of setting to maintain professional boundaries and develop skills in the critical evaluation of information and multiagency/partnership working.
