Course Aims:

This training course supports those who complete assessments in social care. It considers the key tenants of undertaking assessments including planning and analysis to ensure best practice is applied by practitioners.  

Course Outcomes:

• Understanding key principles, legislation and national/local policy context underpinning assessments.
• Ensure assessments adhere to Strengths based approaches to practice
• Understanding the importance of critical thinking, reflective practise and analysis
• Including the voice of the adult in assessments - inclusion and participation of Carers/Family.
