An opportunity has reopened for experienced early years providers to help meet growing demand for pre‑school education in the Newtown area, Powys County Council has announced.

Due to a continued shortfall in available places, the council is now looking suitably qualified providers to deliver high‑quality, inclusive early years education for local children and families. The focus is on provision that is nurturing, sustainable and aligned with current statutory and quality standards.

This opportunity is open to a range of providers operating across the private, voluntary, independent, charitable and social enterprise sectors, who can demonstrate the experience and capability needed to deliver strong early learning outcomes.

Dr Richard Jones, the council's Director of Education, said: "We know the value that skilled early years providers bring to children, families and communities. Demand for places in Newtown continues to grow, and this tender offers experienced providers the chance to play a key role in strengthening local early years education and ensuring children get the best possible start."

Full details, including service requirements, eligibility criteria and how to apply, can be found in the tender documentation at Re-opening of Framework Agreement for Early Years Pre School Education Provision - Lot 12 Newtown - Find a Tender

The tender deadline is Wednesday, June 17.
