Report a concern with a right of way

You can report a problem on a public right of way within Powys, by either:

Using our online mapping portal

  • Here you'll find a map that shows all of the Public Rights of Way, open access land and some countryside furniture in the county.
  • To report an issue, firstly log in, then select the 'Report an issue' menu item.
  • Then simply pan the map and add your report including any photos directly to the map
  • You must register your details to use this service (which is separate from the main Council 'My Powys' account.)
  • An account will allow you to track the progress of all of your reports to us.

By email to rights.of.way@powys.gov.uk

  • Please provide as much information as possible including photos
  • It helps us to identify and locate the problem if you know the number of the path. You can find the path number using the public rights of way interactive map. No account is needed to view this information. Zoom in on an area and click to select a public right of way. The path number will be displayed in an information window (e.g. Parish code/path no./link no. 101/396/1).

As paths and land within Bannau Brycheiniog National Park are managed directly by them, if you wish to report a problem within the National Park please do so here: https://rightsofway.beacons-npa.gov.uk
