Trading Standards - Calibration of equipment

 If you need to be able to take accurate measurements of mass, volume or length then the Trading Standards Calibration Service can help.

Accuracy

Whether we are calibrating mass, volume or length measures we follow strict procedures so you can be confident that our results are accurate. Each item we calibrate can be returned with a fully traceable calibration certificate acceptable for most quality systems.

An accredited service

We run a Metrological Calibration Laboratory at Llandrindod Wells. We can calibrate mass in the range 1mg to 30kg (accuracy class M1) and can also demonstrate traceability to National Standards via the National Measurement Office.

We can also offer calibration of capacity and length measures.

Our calibration service is particularly useful if you need to know how accurate your weights/test pieces are, or if you are required to provide proof of accuracy for quality assurance purposes. The service is available to all businesses wherever they're located.

We are an accredited body for the purposes of the Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments Regulations 2000 and the Measuring Instruments Directive.
