Statement of accounts
The Statement of Accounts is the statutory summary of the council's financial affairs for the financial year and is prepared in accordance with the local government Accounting Code of Practice (ACOP). The purpose of the Statement of Accounts is to give electors, local taxpayers, council members and any other interested parties clear information on the overall finances of the council and to demonstrate the council's stewardship of public money for the year.

Treasury Management
The CIPFA Code of Practice on Treasury Management in the Public Services Fully Revised 2nd Edition 2009 requires the following documents:
- A Treasury Management Policy Statement with associated Practices
- An annual Treasury Management Strategy Statement
- An Annual Investment Strategy
The Welsh Assembly Government's Guidance on Local Government Investments recommends that the approved Strategy document is available to the public free of charge.
