Target Audience: Supervisors, Managers (Adult Services and Children's Services)
Course Aims:
Our ability to work with others is, in part, dependent on the quality of support and supervision we receive. Participants will be able to link together the identification of training and supervision needs, support and appraisal, in a systematic and coherent package, which will be of benefit to the individual and the organisation.
Course Outcomes:
- An understanding of the role of supervision in an organisational context
- Use engagement skills to build a facilitating relationship enabling a supervision process.
- How to create a supervision atmosphere that can safely be, challenging, exploring, reflective and analytical whilst ensuring the staff members well-being
- Understand the responsibilities of supervisees and be able to clarify their contribution to making supervision effective
