Aims
This course considers the key tenants of undertaking assessments including planning and analysis to ensure best practice is applied by practitioners.
Learning objectives
This course will explore:
- Understanding key principles, legislation and national/local policy context underpinning assessments.
- Ensure assessments adhere to SoS approaches to practice
- Understanding the importance of critical thinking and analysis
- Including the voice of the child in assessments - inclusion and participation of family.
- Applying social work knowledge through research / CPR findings and practice experience to assessments.
