Help Point

The Help Point is a 24hr medical base, operating from the Strand Hall, Builth Wells.

The site is open from 8pm on Saturday 19 July to 5am on Thursday 24 July 2025 and will be run by St John Ambulance Cymru.

The Help Point has been set up for those needing medical support and if required can be transported to hospital for further treatment.

"Pop Up" Help Point

If you need guidance and welfare support, chat to our Youth Workers on the Groe. Here, you'll be able to pick up water to keep hydrated, kindly donated by Radnor Hills.

Green Route

A safe walking route which links the Royal Welsh Showground, SV Arena, Penmaenau Farm and Builth Wells Town Centre during the week.

It's a safe route with a 20mph temporary speed limit to support visitors to travel safely.

Taxis

The main taxi rank is located at the Groe Car Park, and security staff will be present to support the safety of visitors.

Additionally, the below Powys County Council licenced taxi businesses are available to take passengers to outlying towns and villages (as are other Powys licenced vehicles who may be in area working at this time). Pre-booking is highly recommended due to large demand.

  • All event sites have a zero-tolerance approach to drugs, and random searches will be undertaken.
  • Don't swim in the river - There are deep pools, and strong undercurrents which are not visible from the surface. There are no safe crossing points, please follow the Green Route.
  • Follow the Green Route when travelling between events sites.
  • Stay hydrated - On the Royal Welsh Showground, there are numerous free drinking water points, and at the Help Point in the town centre, there is free water, kindly donated by Radnor Hills.
  • If it's hot, wear suncream and a hat.
