DBS Customers

What support do we offer our existing customers?

Powys County Council offers its existing customers a range of tools to support them process their DBS applications. This includes: 

• 1:1 telephone guidance available during working hours.
• Same day email response.
• Applicant, verification officer and administrator guides to the online system.
• Bespoke training guides for larger organisations.
• Three days of free training sessions for larger organisations. 

Who are our existing customers?

We currently process the DBS checks for over 600 external organisations and 13 local authorities. Over a 35,000 DBS checks are submitted to the national DBS every year by Powys County Council DBS Unit, and we maintain an accuracy rating of 99.94%.
