Tenants Scrutiny Panel

The Tenants Scrutiny Panel is a Countywide, tenant led panel and has a considerable impact on Council decisions about the housing service. Membership consists of tenant representatives that have applied to be members of the panel to provide experience and/or knowledge from a tenants' perspective, 4 County Councillors and the Cabinet Member with the portfolio responsibility for Housing and Housing Staff. Working groups are formed from time to time from this panel to work on specific projects.

Love Where You Live Grants

Love Where You Live Funding is a small grants scheme which aims to help improve the lives of tenants and residents who live on our estates within Powys. The maximum amount that can be applied for is £500 per application. To apply for funding the project must have the support of a Resident Engagement Officer from the Housing Service.

Grants are intended to support projects which,

  • provide a long-term benefit to the tenants and residents
  • increase skill and creativity
  • improves the quality of life of people in their area
  • supports the principles of equal access and opportunity.
