- The course will give an understanding of Child Sexual Exploitation and how to respond effectively ensuring best practice.
Key Learning Outcomes
- Understand the definition, scale and national findings on Child Sexual Exploitation
- Understand Wales safeguarding procedural responses and all wales practice guide
- Indicators and intervention to protect and engage children/young people
- Barriers to disclosure
- Consider factors for assessment: child's needs / perpetrator risks / contextual risks.
- Support needs for ongoing risks and recovery.
- The importance of avoiding victim blaming - in language use and intervention responses.
