  • The course will give an understanding of Child Sexual Exploitation and how to respond effectively ensuring best practice. 

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the definition, scale and national findings on Child Sexual Exploitation
  • Understand Wales safeguarding procedural responses and all wales practice guide
  • Indicators and intervention to protect and engage children/young people
  • Barriers to disclosure
  • Consider factors for assessment: child's needs / perpetrator risks / contextual risks.
  • Support needs for ongoing risks and recovery. 
  • The importance of avoiding victim blaming - in language use and intervention responses.
